Bodie Plecas has worked jobs ranging from actor to bartender, house painter to musician, trash removal to DJ. He has been to over 1,000 concerts, owned over 10,000 records, and traveled to over 50 countries. But who’s counting.
Armed with a degree from Louisiana State University, a college honored in song by Randy Newman, Bodie has written articles about music, film, books, history and travel. He has been published in magazines, newspapers and on the internet.
Bodie’s first novel, Keith Lives!, is a comedic mashup of the dysfunctional worlds of music, TV, journalism and modern relationships. Keith Lives! will spin your head and set you free, not necessarily in that order.
Pathologically incapable of sticking to one genre, Bodie’s next books include: a supernatural horror-thriller, a 1930s Hollywood detective mystery, and a Christmas fable for the whole family.
When not writing and recording his own music under the name of Picnic Tool, Bodie can be found in his Southern California home among his treasured collection of guitars with his wife and daughter.
